Civil Services aspirants of all categories to get two additional attempts effective from 2014


The government today (10th February 2014) decided to give two additional attempts to all categories of candidates of the prestigious exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission. The Ministry of Personnel in its order said that it has approved two additional attempts to all categories of candidates with effect from Civil Services Examination 2014, with consequential age relaxation of maximum age for all categories of candidates, if required. The Civil Service Examinations are conducted by the UPSC to select All India Services including Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Central Services including Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS), Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS), Indian  Audit and Accounts Service ( IA&AS) etc
