MCI Seeks public Opinion on common medical entrance examination
The Medical Council of India, MCI, has sought public feedback on the core syllabus prepared for the common medical entrance examination. The step comes after the government proposed to hold a common entrance examination for admission to all medical colleges from the next academic session. The MCI has put the draft of the syllabus on its website and asked the public to give its views on the same within three weeks. An MCI official said that the public opinion will be sent to the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE for further action. He added that the core syllabus has been prepared after following the recommendations of the National Curriculum Framework, 2005. It includes topics in Physics, Chemistry and Biology studied by aspirants in classes 11 and 12.
