Iran gets a New President Hassan

In Iran, the reformist leader, Hassan
Rowhani has been elected as the 11th President of the country. He bagged
over One crore 86 lakh votes around 50.7% of the total turnout of 72
percent.
Mayor of Teheran, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf came second with over 60 lakh votes which comes to around 15.7% of the total votes. After his victory, Rowhani said the moderation has won.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei congratulated Hassan Rowhani and said the participation of people in voting was epic.
