Anandiben Patel takes over as Gujarat Chief Minister
Mrs. Anandiben Patel has been sworn-in as the first woman Chief Minister of Gujarat today. The Governor Mrs. Kamla Beniwal administered the oath this afternoon at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar. Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi and senior BJP leaders were present on the occasion. Chief Ministers of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgadh and Punjab, Shiv Sena leader Udhav Thakre, leader of the Congress legislative Party Shankarsinh Waghela and former Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel attended the ceremony.
